I'm still fond of you...

On my way to work each day, I pass on by this old brick building, with a fire escape that runs down the center of the building. I also would like to mention that this building only has the one fire escape; I guess the other residents who are not so lucky to have this 'perk', have to jump/leap/swan dive etc in order to be prevented from being cremated in a fire. Have no fear dear blog visitor, if there was a fire, it would not be of the towering inferno variety, for it is only a four story building.

I had been thinking for some time that the fire escape would make for a really cool photo. Being the romantic that i am, it struck me as a "where art thou romeo" type shot. Or in this case, -I'm still fond of you-
It's feels a little strange, walking up to a building and shooting at fire escapes around 5pm. I am not usually self conscious but in this case I was. I am sure I looked a little 'pervy' with camera zoomed shooting from the sidewalk. FYI. I was shooting at the escape and not the pretty girl in the window (just kidding, juliet was not to be found). I was quick, kept the music loud as not to hear any comments by passing pedestrians.

Before i could do my Snoopy Dance of joy, I had some work in Photoshop to do. First: Crop the image. Second: Sensia filter to give a reddish hue to photo. 3rd: Add lens blur to the top/bottom/sides of the photo, thus highlighting the fire escape. Now i can dance....

-The Smiths-
what difference does it make

All men have secrets and here is mine
So let it be known
For we have been through hell and high tide
I think I can rely on you ...
And yet you start to recoil
Heavy words are so lightly thrown
But still I'd leap in front of a flying bullet for you

So, what difference does it make ?
So, what difference does it make ?
It makes none
But now you have gone
And you must be looking very old tonight

The devil will find work for idle hands to do
I stole and I lied, and why ?
Because you asked me to !
But now you make me feel so ashamed
Because I've only got two hands
Well, I'm still fond of you, oh-ho-oh

So, what difference does it make ?
Oh, what difference does it make ?
Oh, it makes none
But now you have gone
And your prejudice won't keep you warm tonight

But no more apologies
No more, no more apologies
Oh, I'm too tired
I'm so sick and tired
And I'm feeling very sick and ill today
But I'm still fond of you, oh-ho-oh
